Speech-Language Pathology
Supports communication development and oral-motor functions, including speech, swallowing and breathing.
AAC – Augmentative & Alternative Communication
AAC helps non-verbal children communicate through images, symbols, boards, gestures or digital tools.
Prompt Therapy
Prompts are cues provided by the therapist to teach correct responses, gradually faded to build independence.
Communicative Gestures
Gestures are immediate and accessible communicative tools that help the child be understood more easily and reduce frustration in daily situations.
Communicator (VOCA / App)
The communicator is a device, often digital, that allows the child to select symbols or images and convert them to speech, supporting autonomous communication.
ABA – Applied Behavior Analysis
ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is a behavioral educational approach that helps children learn new skills and reduce behaviors that may hinder daily life, communication and participation. The path is personalized based on the child's goals and uses structured strategies, positive reinforcement and progress monitoring.
Ergotherapie
Develops personal autonomy, fine motor skills, coordination and participation in daily, school and social life.
Psychomotricity
Supports motor strategies, body organization and relational development. Does not address the genetic or neurological cause.
Dysphagia & Oral Motor Therapy
Dysphagia intervention helps improve swallowing and feeding safety, and can also address drooling management. Oral motor therapy works on lip, tongue, jaw and breathing control.
Inklusive Sportaktivitäten
Sports and recreational activities such as theatre, dance and inclusive team sports support wellbeing, self-esteem and social participation.

Mediation-based method to stimulate cognitive functions and improve learning capacity for each ReNU child.
Aquatik und Schwimmen
The aquatic environment promotes freedom of movement, muscle tone, coordination and sensory integration. Swimming is loved by many ReNU children.

Used for perceptual motor skills, communication and mood regulation. Music is often a privileged relational channel for ReNU children.

Having a child with ReNU Syndrome entitles you to a range of rights, protections and benefits under Italian law. Our family network is here to help you navigate the system.
Law 104/92 – Disability Assistance
Work leave for parents (3 days/month), extraordinary leave, tax benefits and school support. ReNU Syndrome may qualify for law 104 in serious condition (art. 3 comma 3).
Disabled Badge (Car Pass)
The disabled parking badge is requested at the municipality of residence via medical certification. It allows parking in reserved areas and circulation benefits.
School Support (Support Teacher)
A ReNU child has the right to a support teacher, an Individual Educational Plan (PEI) and specific teaching aids. Requires disability certification and UMVD assessment.
Attendance Allowance & Bonuses
INPS attendance allowance is reserved for total disabled people who cannot walk independently. Other bonuses also exist: Baby Bonus, Unique Allowance, ISEE benefits for disabled.
Disability Card (European Disability Card)
The Disability Card is a European card certifying disability and provides access to benefits in public facilities, museums, transport and services. Applied for via INPS.
